Krabi –
An Omura whale was spotted near the Lanta Island in Krabi.
The Mu Ko Lanta National Park reported on Monday (December 11th) that they found the Omura whale while they were patrolling between Tukon Lima Island and the Lanta Yai Island in the national park area.
The Omura whale was first discovered by the Japanese scientist Hideo Omura 20 years ago and was then named after him. It is at risk for extinction and is listed as a protected species in Thailand.
