Phuket –
Traffic suffered significant delays after a truck overturned on a main road in Phuket.
Emergency responders were notified of the accident at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday (December 6th) on the Bypass Road (Chalerm Phrakiet Rama 9 Road) in the Koh Kaew sub-district, Mueang Phuket.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene to find the overturned truck on the northbound lane. The driver, who was not identified by rescue workers, had sustained only minor injuries. Gasoline was found leaked from the truck and spilled on the road. Traffic was delayed for many kilometers before the truck was removed and the road was cleaned.
The cause of the accident was unclear and still under investigation by relevant authorities as of press time.
