A male motorbike rider was finally arrested after touching at least eight women’s chests who were driving motorbikes in Phuket.
The Thalang Police told the Phuket Express that on Monday (November 27th) at 5:30 P.M. they arrested a suspect identified only as Mr. Mon, 34 at a house in Thalang. This came after eight female victims filed a report to the Thalang Police in the past two weeks.
The victims told Thalang police that while they were riding motorbikes alone, there was a male motorbike rider who got close to them before touching their breasts and chest before speeding away. The women stated they were very afraid and that they did not know the man.
The victim’s names were withheld due to being victim’s of sexual assault.
The Thalang Police tracked down the suspect from CCTV footage in the area and finally found Mr. Mon. He admitted to police that the motorbike rider was him and he apologized to all the female victims. He claimed that he ate some drugs which caused him to do something that he did not mean to do.
A dash cam from the back of a car had caught the incident from one of the victims.
Mr. Mon is facing charges of committing indecent acts to people aged more than 15-years-old. The punishment could be imprisonment for up to 10 years.
