Driver’s Body and Whisky Bottle Found Outside an Overturned Pickup Truck in Thalang – VIDEO

A driver’s body and a bottle of whisky were found outside an overturned pickup truck in the Sri Soonthorn sub-district early this morning.

Major Thanpisit Mueangjan of the Thalang Police told the Phuket Express that he was notified of the accident at 1:50 A.M. on Thursday in the early morning (November 30th) on the Thep Krasattri Road north bound in Baan Phon.

Emergency responders arrived at the accident scene to find the overturned pickup truck on the road. The driver, Mr. Suwit Korjaroenkit, 48, from Pa Klok, Thalang was found dead with severe head injuries outside the pickup truck.

A truck passenger, Mr. Witthaya Petchahueng, 48, also from Pa Klok, Thalang, had sustained back and arms injuries. He was taken to a nearby hospital. A bottle of Thai whisky was found near the pickup truck.

The speed limit road sign near the scene shows 60 kilometers per hour.

CCTV footage nearby viewed by police appears to show that the pickup truck being driven by Mr. Suwit was driving in the south bound lane before flipping over and crossing the central reservation to the northbound lane. The Thalang Police are continuing their investigation to find the exact cause of the accident.
