Intoxicated Man Arrested after Threatening Ex-Wife with Gun in Chalong

An intoxicated man was arrested after he threatened his ex-wife with a gun in Chalong.

The Chalong Police told the Phuket Express that on Thursday (November 23rd), they were notified from neighbours that a man was threatening a woman in their residential area and that the man is the ex-husband of the woman.

They arrived at the scene before arresting the 36-year-old Thai man. Seized from him was a handmade handgun with three bullets, two eight inch knives, and a small amount of methamphetamine pills.

He was taken to the Chalong Police Station to face charges of illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition, carrying a gun in public without permission, carrying a weapon in public without a proper reason, illegal possession of category 1 drugs and using illegal category 1 drugs.

His name was not released by Chalong Police to the press.
