Man Arrested With 73 Methamphetamine Pills in Chalong at Checkpoint

A 35-year-old man was arrested with 73 methamphetamine pills after he rode a motorbike though a checkpoint in Chalong.

The Chalong Police told the Phuket Express that this week they had arrested an unidentified 35-year-old Thai man. The man was driving a motorbike through a traffic checkpoint on the Patak Road opposite a shooting rage.

The police stopped and searched him as he was acting suspiciously according to them. They found 73 methamphetamine pills and 4.09 grams of crystal methamphetamine.

He was taken to the Chalong Police Station to face charges of illegal possession of category 1 drugs with intent to sell.
