Phuket –

A young man has been rescued from the sea after he jumped from the Sarasin Bridge in Thalang.

The Royal Thai Navy Third Area Command told the Phuket Express that on Saturday (November 18th) they were notified that a man who was still alive was floating in the sea near the Sarasin Bridge in the Mai Khao sub-district.

They arrived at the area to find that the man had already been safely rescued by a local fishing boat nearby. The man was later transferred to a nearby hospital.

It has been reported that the man is a student from Phang Nga. He jumped from the Sarasin Bridge but was immediately seen and rescued by a local fishing boat.

The man’s name has been withheld for his privacy and due to the sensitivity of the situation.
