Phuket to host UNESCO Creative Cities of Gastronomy Conference in 2024

PRESS RELEASE:

The United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has announced that Phuket province was selected to host the UNESCO Creative Cities of Gastronomy Annual Conference in 2024.

This selection is a result of Phuket’s bid to be the host on 16 October 2023, via online application, along with 49 member cities from 30 countries.

The conference will be held under Phuket’s proposed theme, “From ordinary to extraordinary: Unlocking the creative potential of local cuisine for sustainable food practice,” showcasing Phuket’s gastronomic heritage and promoting sustainable development.
