Police Seize 49,000 Methamphetamine Pills in Phuket

Police seized more than 49,000 methamphetamine pills in Phuket.

The Phuket Provincial Police told the Phuket Express that earlier this week they first arrested Mr. Pattanasak ‘Pok’, 42, on Poon Phon Road, in the Talad Nuea sub-district. Seized from him were about 213 meth pills.

He said he bought the drugs from Ms. Paradee ‘Bum’, 43. She was arrested at a rental room in Soi Poon Phon 9, in Talad Nuea. Police continued their investigation and they seized from her about 2,688 meth pills. She told police she got the drugs from Mr. Anon ‘Non’, 43.

Police continued their investigation and they arrested Mr. Non at a hotel on Chao Fa Road in Talad Nuea. Seized from him were 46,400 meth pills. The total number of methamphetamine pills seized was 49,300, worth about eight million baht in street value. All three suspects were taken to the Phuket City Police Station and are facing charges of illegal possession of category 1 drugs with intent to sell.
