The Phuket Marine Office has issued a warning that small boats of less than six meters length are being banned from leaving ports into the open sea during this time.
The Phuket Marine Office Chief Mr. Nachapong Pranit told the Phuket Express that according to the Thai Meteorological Department (TMD), heavy rain is currently taking place in the Andaman Sea with strong waves more than two meters high in thunderstorm areas until October 29th, 2023.
The Phuket Marine Office issued a warning on Tuesday (October 24th) for boat captains to be more careful when traveling at sea. Small boats of less than six meters length are being BANNED from leaving ports into the open sea during this time.
