Aed Carabao Announces That They Are Disbanding Next Year

National —

Mr. Yuenyong Opakul’s well-known stage name “Aed Carabao” recently announced that he was disbanding his famous and popular band in 2024.

On October 10th, 2023, at the concert “Bom Sincharoen Fanmeet”, Aed told the attendees about the decades long journey of his band and personal hardships. Carabao became incredibly popular even though the band did not sign a contract with any agency.

Aed wrote and performed more than 900 songs during his active career which makes him one of the most prolific singer-songwriters in the world.

“However, the current 4 band members are too old and sick, and we plan to quit playing forever as a band on April 1st, 2024. It is time to admit that we are old, yet we are still cool. I am not personally retiring, however, and will keep on writing songs and join new generations of artists sometimes for life performances. As for the other members, it is up to them to decide their life choices,” said Aed.

Carabao became popular partly due to their many songs focusing on political upheaval and social justice, earning a dedicated and passionate fanbase. For more information on Carabao please tap or click here.
