  1. Two decomposed bodies of a man and a woman were found in a shipping container in Bangkok’s Lat Krabang Industrial Estate on Monday morning, October 2nd.

The vessel was reported to have been shipped from the Philippines, departing on September 24th, 2023, and arriving at Laem Chabang, Chonburi, Thailand, on September 28th, 2023.

2. Many foreign and Thai tourists are visiting Maya Bay in Krabi after it was recently reopened.

The national park has limited the number of visitors permitted to 375 per one hour round trip.

3. In a critical incident at Bangkok’s Siam Paragon Mall, police have arrested a 14-year-old Thai boy suspected of a shooting that resulted in two fatalities and left at least five others injured.

Thai Police searched a residence of the 14-year-old shooter involved in the mass shooting incident at Siam Paragon Mall in Bangkok on October 3rd and found a large stockpile of bullets and an airsoft gun.

Three men have been arrested by Thai police today, October 5th, after police allegedly found their involvement in supplying a gun and ammunition to a 14-year-old shooter who killed two people and injured five others at Siam Paragon Shopping Center.

On October 6th, 2023, the Thai Situation Command Center (SCC) received an apology letter from the parents of the perpetrator, a 14-year-old shooter at Siam Paragon Shopping Center.

Following the recent shooting incident at a Bangkok mall, the Tourist Police Bureau made a tri-lingual announcement in Thai, Chinese, and English, communicating with the global audience.

The incident has dominated Thai media for the past week and brought extensive discussion around potential gun law changes as we discuss in a video here.

4. The launch of the Thailand Earth Observation Satellite 2 (THEOS-2) which was scheduled on Saturday (October 7th) has been postponed.

Thailand’s second earth observation satellite, known as THEOS-2, was succesfully launched into space on October 9th 2023.

5. Following the unfortunate incident involving the deployment of unmanned combat aircraft and rockets from the Gaza Strip to attack Israel on 7 October 2023, the Royal Thai Government wishes to express our deepest condolences to the Government and people of Israel.

The Thai Government is deeply concerned with the safety of Thai nationals working in Israel who have been affected by such violent incidents.
