BANGKOK (NNT) – The government is intensifying efforts to address the widespread issue of firearms in Thailand.
Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Srettha Thavisin, after consulting with various agencies and discussing with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Anutin Charnvirakul, asked for increased scrutiny in this domain.
In addition, to hasten market expansion with foreign countries, representatives of the Thai Ambassadors and the Foreign Affairs Ministry have been invited for discussions.

The directive emphasizes a comprehensive approach, including tightening control on imitation firearms. There is a call for heightened security measures at vital locations.
