Phuket Police Ensure Readiness of Hotline Services as More Tourists Return

Phuket –

The Phuket police are ensuring the readiness of the 191 Operation Center to prepare for more tourists.

The Region 8 Police Deputy Commander Major General Saksira Pueakaum inspected the Phuket 191 Operation Center earlier this week. Major General Saksira told the Phuket Express that they are ensuring full readiness for the center which has connected high technologies with governments and private sectors.

This 191 operation center used to be the Phuket Tourism Sandbox Operation. The center has high technology for the Phuket Smart City project and effective controls on communication and connection and as a result the 191 Operation Center will give more confidence for tourists safety.

The center is helping to ensure Thai and foreign tourists’ safety. More tourists are coming to Phuket after the Thai government’s free-visa policy for Chinese and Kazakhstani tourists has been endorsed in the Royal Gazette and published on Tuesday, September 19th.
