Suspect Arrested in Phuket After Allegedly Murdering 74-year-old Woman

A suspect was arrested in Phuket after he and another suspect allegedly murdered a 74-year-old female elder in Nakhon Si Thammarat and stole her iPhone.

The Crime Investigation Bureau (CIB) Police told TPN media that this week they have arrested a man identified only as Mr. Siri ‘K’, 43. He was arrested in front of a gas station in Cherng Talay, Thalang.

On June 1st, 2023 the Na Bon Police in Nakhon Si Thammarat were notified that a 74-year-old woman was found dead at a local grocery store. Wounds were found on her neck and she appeared to have also been strangled with a bra . The suspects also reportedly stole an iPhone from the woman.

Police identified that one of two suspects was Mr. Siri. The other suspect, who wasn’t identified, has already been arrested. The arrest warrant was issued for Siri over the accusation of being involved in bodily assault leading to death and theft.

Siri has denied all accusations as of press time and claimed innocence.
