Now for the update:

Police have arrested a woman identified only as Ms. Ketsuda at a local shop in Chumpol, Sri Nakarin district in Phatthalung. The arrest came after the Phuket Provincial Court has issued arrest warrants for both Mr. Tarapong Nepbua, the suspect, and his wife, Ms. Ketsuda, who allegedly was an accomplice of Tarapong’s by helping the suspect evade law enforcement.

Police found that Ms. Ketsuda had fled to her aunt’s house before she was arrested. She was taken back to the Phuket City Police Station and has denied any involvement in the murder or helping her husband evade police. She also claimed that she had no idea where her husband Tarapong was.

The horrific incident took the life of Mr. Wanchai Butdee, 35, the shop owner, who after the stabbing was taken to a nearby hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

Police state that on May 2nd the suspect and his wife were drinking alcohol at the grocery store and were asked to leave by Wanchai after causing a disturbance. This infuriated the couple so much they later returned on May 6th and murdered Wanchai, according to police. The couple fled the scene following the murder and had been evading law enforcement since.

As of press time Tarapong, also known by his nickname of Jack, remained on the loose with Phuket police putting pressure on his wife for more information on his whereabouts.
