A foreign driver has escaped injuries after a pickup truck accident in Rawai, Mueang Phuket.

The Rawai Mayor Aroon Solos told the Phuket Express that the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) of the Rawai Municipality was notified of the accident on Saturday (August 20th) in Soi Na Tai.

Mayor Aroon and his staffers arrived at the scene to find the pickup truck in a roadside ditch. The foreign driver who was not identified was not injured and the pickup truck was successfully pulled up from the ditch.

The exact cause of the accident was still under investigation by relevant Rawai officials as of press time.
