Thalang Residents Ask for Action Against Intoxicated Man Regularly Trespassing Into Other People’s Homes

Thalang –

An intoxicated father holding his two-year-old daughter climbed into another person’s home in Thalang to take a shower and according to local residents this isn’t the first time this man has trespassed into another’s property.

Mr. Nopparit Roongrueng, a village headman of the M.5 village in Sri Soonthorn, told the Phuket Express that on Wednesday afternoon (August 16th), a local resident in Soi Uthai called police after an unidentified man aged around 40 climbed up the fence into a stranger’s house carrying his two-year-old daughter to reportedly take a shower. When he saw police arriving at the house, he and his daughter somehow managed to escape arrest, climbing out the rear of the property.

Nopparit told Thalang police that the man is a drug addict and always takes other people items without permission and trespasses into other homes. He lives in the same area with his wife and daughter and has been a regular problem for other residents despite numerous complaints. Nopparit stopped short, however, of naming and fully identifying the man to the Thai media.

Thalang police stated to The Phuket Express that directly following the incident they went to the suspect’s home to try to speak to his wife but she was not present. Thalang police also said that if they arrested the man for his series of mostly minor nuisance behaviors, nobody would take care of his daughter as the mother appeared to be largely absent.

The unidentified house owner where the suspect took an unwelcome shower has filed an official report to Thalang police and asked for his arrest regardless of police’s hesitancy to press legal action against the man.
