British Tourist Calls for Help after Boat Captain Falls Unconscious in Phang Nga Sea

Phang Nga –

A British tourist called for help after a boat captain fell unconscious while they were in the sea together in Phang Nga.

The Phuket Tourist Police told the Phuket Express on Friday (August 11th) that they were notified of the incident by the Tourist Police hotline 1155. A male British tourist, who wasn’t identified by name, had called for help and told Phuket tourist police that he had rented a long-tail boat with a boat captain from the An Pao Pier on the Yao Noi Island to visit other islands nearby. The boat captain suddenly fell unconscious and was unable to steer the boat back onto the land. The British tourist was not trained or confident enough to steer the boat on his own.

The Tourist Patrol Police contacted a village head man, administrative officers, and rescue team. They went into the sea and found the boat and the tourists on the boat were safely taken back to land.

The boat captain was rushed to the Koh Yao Hospital with an undisclosed medical emergency and his name was withheld for his medical privacy.

The tourists thanked the relevant agencies for the quick response and aid.
