Sea Turtle Found Dead on Phang Nga Beach

A sea turtle was found dead on a beach in the Thai Mueang district.

The Department of Marine and Coastal Resources (DMCR) told the Phuket Express that on Monday (July 31st) they were notified by local residents that a dead sea turtle had been found on a beach in Thai Mueang.

The DMCR arrived at the beach to find a dead Olive Ridley Sea Turtle. It was 60 centimeters wide and 60 centimeters long. Its gender and cause of death were unable to be identified because it had started to decay. The dead sea turtle was buried on the beach.
