Thalang Highest for Dengue Fever Cases in Phuket

The Phuket Provincial Public Health Office reports that the highest number of dengue cases are found in Thalang.

Thailand saw a continuous rise in dengue fever cases in 18 provinces including Chonburi, Phuket, and Bangkok, the Department of Disease Control on Monday, July 24th, reported.

Phuket has continued to fight back against dengue fever, the spread of which is increasing in the area.

Now for the update:

The Phuket Public Health Office Deputy Chief Doctor Mueanprae Boonlom told the Phuket Express about the high number of cases on Thursday (July 27th).

Dengue fever cases have been increasingly detected in all three main districts in Phuket which are Mueang Phuket, Kathu, and Thalang. A recent report based upon figures from January to July showed that the highest numbers were in Thalang. There were a total of 577 of dengue fever cases. Of those, 295 were males and 282 were female.

No deaths were reported. However if the cases continue to rise, then deaths could possibly be reported in the future warned Boonlom.
