Vachira Phuket Hospital and the Thai Red Cross Society honored a 26-year-old Thai woman who donated her kidneys, liver, and spleen to patients in need.
The act of utmost generosity took place on Friday, July 21st, at Vachira Phuket Hospital, where a surgical team from Siriraj Hospital performed a transplant surgery on a 26-year-old organ donor to fulfil her last wishes to help others.
The terminally ill donor, whose name was withheld by the hospital, donated her kidneys, liver, and spleen to waiting patients at Vachira Phuket Hospital. Her noble deed has given the gift of life to those in need and created an everlasting benefit for society, the hospital stated in a Facebook post.
The surgical team successfully carried out the transplant procedures. The hospital team and representatives from the Thai Red Cross Society subsequently gathered in front of the donor’s body to honor her passing.
