Phuket –

A female motorcyclist from Myanmar was pronounced dead at the scene after her motorbike slammed into a parked pickup truck in Phuket Town.

Major Kraisorn Pakarree of the Phuket City Police was notified of the accident on the Bangkok Road near the Wichit Yan Yon shop in Talad Yai at 2:00 A.M. on Thursday (July 20th).

Police, emergency responders, and the Phuket Express arrived at the scene to find a woman identified only as Ms. Tandalai, 32, a Myanmar national. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Nearby, they found the damaged motorbike and pickup truck.

At this stage, police believe that Tandalai might have been sleeping while riding or speeding before crashing into the parked pickup truck. However, police are checking CCTV footage to find the exact cause of the accident.
