80 Baby Sea Turtles Hatch and Head into the Phang Nga Sea – VIDEO

Eighty baby green sea turtles have successfully hatched and headed into the sea in the Thai Mueang district.

The Department of Marine and Coastal Resources (DMCR) told the Phuket Express that on Monday (July 17th) the head of the Similan National Park Mr. Sarayut Paso was notified by a park staffer on Meang Island that eighty baby green sea turtles had hatched and headed back into the sea.

A mother green sea turtle laid 91 eggs on May 20th, 2023. It took 58 days for 87.9 percent of the eggs to successfully hatch. Two of them were still weak and they will be held in good care before being released back into the sea later.
