Pickup Truck Crashes into Heroine Monument in Thalang

A driver escaped injury after a pickup truck crashed into the Heroine Monument in Thalang.

Major Noppadol Tonemanee of the Thalang Police was notified of the accident on Friday morning (July 14th) at 3:30 A.M.. at the Thao Thep Krasattri – Thao Sri Soonthorn Heroines Monument on the Thep Krasattri Road northbound lane in Baan Tha Ruea.

First responders and the Pattaya News arrived at the scene to find a pickup truck had slammed into the fence at the Heroine Monument.

The driver, who has not been identified by relevant officials, was not injured. At this stage, Thalang police believe that the driver might have been sleeping at the wheelheel before the crash.

The Thalang Police told the Phuket Express that the driver is facing charges of reckless driving and causing damage to government property .
