Man Allegedly Threatens Taxi Driver in Phuket with a Sword

A local man allegedly threatened a mobile application taxi driver with a sword in a pubic parking area near a beach in Thalang.

An unidentified mobile application taxi driver told the Phuket Express that he parked his car at a public park near the Nai Thon Beach in the Sakoo sub-district on Tuesday (July 11th).

There was an unknown man there who tried to chase him away saying he was not allowed to park there. They argued before the man went away and came back with a sword. The man was allegedly trying to attack the taxi driver.

The taxi driver told the Phuket Express that he has a sticker from the Phuket Land Transport Office (PLTO) to show that he is allowed to work as a taxi driver with an approved driving application. The taxi driver filed a reported to the Sakoo Police with video evidence of the incident.
