Dolphin Rescued After Being Washed Up on Beach in Phang Nga

A dolphin has been rescued after being washed up onto a beach in Phang Nga.

The Department of Marine and Coastal Resources (DMCR) told the Phuket Express that on Tuesday (July 11th), that they were notified by a local that a dolphin which was still alive had been found on a beach at the Laem Sai Bay on Yao Noi Island.

They arrived at the beach to find a Striped Dolphin. No wounds were found on the dolphin and it was unclear how it had been washed ashore. The dolphin was taken to the Sireetarn Marine Endangered Animals Rescue Center in Phuket.
