Krabi –

Thieves allegedly stole goods worth more than 2 million baht from a pool villa in Krabi. The owner reported the theft to police five months ago but the suspects are still on the run.

Mrs. Khwansurat Beger, 32, from Surat Thani, the owner of a pool villa in Ao Nang, filed a complaint to the Ombudsman’s office in Krabi along with a police report. She had invested more than 10 million baht for the construction of the villa that was paused during Covid-19.

On February 10th, 2023, she and her family visited the construction site and noticed that many construction tools and two large containers had been stolen. She said thieves had stolen the construction tools from the under-construction pool villa.

Local residents nearby told her that in January of this year people with crane trucks moved the containers and some roof structures away. At the time they assumed that the owner had been aware of the move.

The Phuket Express notes that the Ombudsman Office or the Damrong Dhamma Centre are government offices which are operated under the Ministry of Interior. This office provides FREE assistance to people who file complaints about anything where they think they did not receive justice. Every province has such an office.
