Samui Welcomes First Direct Flight from Hong Kong After Three Years

Samui welcomed the first direct flight from Hong Kong after flights were paused three years ago.

Officials from the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) welcomed the first direct flight from Hong Kong by Bangkok Airways at Samui International Airport over the past weekend. In total 113 passengers arrived on the flight.

Flights from Hong Kong were paused for three years during the Covid- 19 pandemic. The airlines have returned to service as many tourists from Hong Kong are interested in visiting Samui Island. The flights from Hong Kong to Samui and from Samui to Hong Kong are being serviced three times a week on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
