‘Regional OTOP Festival’ is Currently Underway in Phuket Town

The annual ‘Regional OTOP Festival’ which is being held until July 2nd at Saphan Hin in Phuket Town is expected to generate at least 30 million baht.

The festival was officially launched on Monday night (June 27th) and led by the director general of the Community Development Department Mr. Aunsit Sampantarat and the Phuket Governor Naroong Woociew. The festival is being held from June 26th to July 2nd, 2023. Mr. Aunsit told the Phuket Express that the festival is aimed to boost OTOP (One Tambon/Village One Product) and the regional economy.

This year the campaign is called ‘Wisdom and Innovation’. There are more than 300 shops selling local products and food from regional areas around Thailand in an air conditioned dome. Live performances are also present every night on a stage. The festival is expected to generate at least 30 million baht.
