Man Arrested in Phuket for Allegedly Commiting 25 Million Baht in Company Fraud

A male broker was arrested in Phuket after he allegedly defrauded a company for 25 million in Baht of total damage costs.

The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) reported that they have arrested a man identified only as Mr. Panyawat, 47. He is a former broker of an unidentified company in Nakhon Ratchasima. He allegedly created fake documents and defrauded money from the company with a total of 25 million baht of damages.

The company name, notes The Phuket Express, was withheld by CIB officers pending further charges and investigation.

CIB officers found that Panyawat was hidden in Phuket and was arrested at a shop in Thalang. He is facing charges of creating falsified documents and fraud.

Mr. Panyawat did not immediately issue a plea to the charges and it was not known if he had a lawyer as of press time.
