Rare Dolphin Found Dead in Krabi

Krabi –

A rare dolphin was found dead at a beach on Lanta Island.

The head of the Mu-Ko Lanta National Park Mr. Naeramit Songsang was notified of the dead dolphin at Ba Kan Teang Beach in the Lanta Yai sub-district.

National Park staff went to the beach to find the female spotted dolphin. A small wound was found on its fin. It was two meters long and weighed about 80 kilograms. The dolphin had just died before it was found.

The dead dolphin was taken to the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources Office for an autopsy to find the exact cause of death.
