Sea Turtle Rescued on Beach in Phang Nga

A weak sea turtle has been rescued at a beach in Phang Nga.

The Department of Marine and Coastal Resources (DMCR) told the Phuket Express that on Wednesday (June 7th) they were notified by locals that a live but weak sea turtle had been brought up on to the beach by waves.

It is a Green Sea Turtle weighing about four kilograms. No wounds were found on the turtle but it was very weak. The turtle was taken to the Sireetarn Marine Endangered Animals Rescue Center in Phuket.
