Another Illegal Entertainment Venue in Phuket Raided for Allegedly Opening Late

Another illegal entertainment venue in Phuket Town was raided for allegedly opening over the legal closing time.

This continues a trend of regular raids over the last several days.

The Phuket City Police Chief Colonel Pratueng Ponmana told the Phuket Express that on Tuesday in the early morning (June 6th) at 3:20 A.M. they raided a bar and restaurant in Soi Poonphon Plaza in Talad Nuea sub-district, Phuket Town.

The owner, identified by police only as Mr. Gun, was arrested and taken to the Phuket City Police Station. He is facing charges of allegedly illegally operating an entertainment venue without permission, selling alcohol over the legal time, and opening an entertainment venue past the legal time.

The name of the bar and restaurant was not given by officials, citing further investigation.
