Thailand celebrates Her Majesty Queen Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana’s royal birthday on Saturday, June 3rd.

Her Majesty was born on June 3rd, 1978, in the Hat Yai district in Songkhla, Southern Thailand. This year has marked her 45th birthday.

Her Majesty the Queen’s portraits have been placed in public and homes across the country as well as the colors purple and white and Her Majesty’s symbolic flags.

The Bureau of the Royal Household invites the public to express their well-wishes to Her Majesty the Queen on the occasion of her birthday on June 3rd, 2023. Well-wishers can sign an online book via the agency’s website, www.royaloffice.th, from June 2nd to 4th.

Thailand is hosting a ceremony commemorating Vesak, or Visakha Bucha Day with more than 3,500 monks from 50 countries set to participate in the two-day celebration.

The Pattaya News notes that an alcohol sale ban and closure of entertainment venues will be enforced nationwide to respect the sacred ceremony during the event period on the actual Vesak day, June 3rd, Saturday, for 24 hours from Friday Night to Saturday/Sunday morning at Midnight.
