Tourists Rescued After Nearly Drowning at Patong Beach in Phuket

Patong –

Two foreign tourists have been rescued after they were found struggling in the water at Patong Beach.

The Patong Lifeguards told the Phuket Express that on Monday morning (May 29th) two tourists went into the water at Patong Beach. They were both safely brought back to the beach by lifeguards after being spotted struggling in the sea to stay afloat.

Red flags had been placed at the beach to warn swimmers from going into the water because of strong waves. However, the two tourists did not listen to the warning and had to be rescued.

The tourists names and nationalities were not identified by Phuket lifeguards.

A Russian tourist drowned at Patong Beach on Saturday (May 27th) in the early morning.
