Phang Nga-
Five Filipino tourists, a guide, and a driver have been rescued after a long-tail boat capsized in Phang Nga.
The head of the Phang Nga Bay National Park Mr. Natthawat Nuisringam told the Phuket Express that on Monday afternoon, (May 22nd), they were notified of the incident one kilometer from Baan Sam Chong.
They arrived at the scene to find five Filipinos, a tour guide, and the boat driver floating in the sea. They were all wearing life jackets. The capsized boat was found nearby. The boat driver, whose name was not released by relevant officials, stated that there were strong waves that hit the boat before the vessel capsized.
All individuals involved were safely taken back to land and nobody was seriously injured.
This boat related incident was not nearly as tragic as this recent one in which 35 people, mostly foreign tourists, were injured.
There have also been a number of other boat accidents recently, which we covered here:
Two foreign tourists and a boat captain have been rescued after a long-tail boat capsized in Krabi.
Nine Swedish tourists have survived after a long-tailed boat capsized in Krabi.
