73-Year-Old Foreign Rider Injured After Motorbike Crash in Rawai

A 73-year-old foreign rider has sustained minor injuries after a motorbike crash in Rawai.

The Chalong Police were notified of the accident on Tuesday (May 23rd) morning on the Wiset Road. Police and the Phuket Express arrived at the scene to find two damaged motorbikes on the road. The Thai rider, Mr. Kittisak Buayai, 31, and the foreign rider, Mr. Georgi Simeonov Georgiev, 73 (his nationality was not given by police), both sustained minor injuries.

CCTV footage nearby shows Mr. Kittisak was coming from a straight away before Mr. Georgiev allegedly immediately cut in front of him at a U-turn.

However, the Chalong Police are continuing their investigation for further possible legal action.
