A sea turtle nest was found with 109 sea turtle eggs on a beach in Similan National Park.
The Department of Marine and Coastal Resources (DMCR) Phang Nga office told the Phuket Express that on Monday (May 22nd) they found the tracks of a mother sea turtle that had been found on a beach on Mueang Island (Si/Fourth Island).
Officials went to the beach where they found the nest with sea turtle eggs buried inside. There were in total 109 sea turtle eggs that were found inside the nest. The eggs have been relocated to a safe area nearby due to concern of damage from the weather.
Ninety-one sea turtle eggs were found on a beach in Similan National Park.
