Two People Arrested for Illegally Operating Cannabis Shops in Thalang, Phuket

Thalang –

Two people have been arrested for illegally operating cannabis shops in Thalang while three other cannabis licenses have been suspended.

The Thalang District Chief Mr. Bancha Tanuin told the Phuket Express that relevant officials inspected cannabis shops in Thalang over the past weekend.

Two cannabis shops were found with no licenses. Those two shop owners were taken to the Thalang Police Station to face charges of selling controlled herbs (cannabis buds) without permission. Their names were not released to The Phuket Express.

Three other cannabis shop licenses have also been suspended for selling cannabis in other businesses and advertising controlled herbs (cannabis).

Under Thai Ministry of Public Health regulations, any sort of advertising cannabis, digitally or print, is against the rules.
