Rainy Season in Thailand Officially Begins

The Thai Meteorological Department (TMD) has announced that the rainy season in Thailand this year officially started on Monday (May 22nd), 2023.

The rain is forecast to be lower than the rainy season average, about 5 percent down from last year, 2022. Heavier downpours are expected between August and September.

Thailand’s rainy season will end in mid-October. However, in the southern part of Thailand, especially in the southeast coastal areas, the rain will continue until mid-January of next year, 2024.
