Ninety-one Sea Turtle Eggs Found on Beach in Phang Nga

Ninety-one sea turtle eggs were found on a beach in Similan National Park.

The Department of Marine and Coastal Resources (DMCR) Phang Nga office told the Phuket Express that on Sunday (May 21st) they found the tracks of a mother sea turtle that had been found on a beach on Mueang Island (Si/Fourth Island).

Officials went to the beach in question where they found the nest with sea turtle eggs buried inside. There were in total 91 sea turtle eggs that were found inside the nest.

The eggs have been relocated to a safe area nearby due to concern of damage from the weather.
