Phuket Immigration visited foreign tourists who have been injured from a recent tour boat crash and offered visa extension assistance.

Emergency responders were notified of the accident on Wednesday (May 17th) near Chalong Pier with many injuries. More than a dozen ambulances from the nearby area arrived at the Chalong Pier.
Now for the update:
Major Tanannat Srisuwan of the Phuket Immigration told the Phuket Express that thirty-two foreign tourists comprised of 21 Russians, 1 Ukrainian, 8 Kazakhstani, 1 Hong Kong and 1 Chinese national have been treated at various hospitals in Phuket.
On Friday (May 19th) they visited the foreign tourists at various hospitals. Hospital staffers have been informed that if any foreign tourists from this accident had to stay at hospitals, Phuket Immigration can provide visa extension services for them if they needed.
Phuket Immigration officers also expressed their sympathy for the plight of the tourists and wished for them to get well soon.
