Small Boats in Phuket To Be Banned Going to Sea For The Next Few Days

The Phuket Marine Office has issued a warning which will BAN small boats from leaving ports into the open sea in the next few days.

The Phuket Marine Office Chief Mr. Nachapong Pranit told the Phuket Express that according to the Thai Meteorological Department (TMD), during May 11th to May 14th there will be heavy rain with strong waves in the Andaman Sea up to four meters high in the open sea or more than four meters high in a thunderstorm area.

The Phuket Marine Office has issued a warning for boat captains to be more careful when traveling in the sea. Small boats of less than 13 meters length will be BANNED from leaving ports into the open sea from May 11th to May 14th, 2023.
