Woman Arrested in Phuket For Involvement with Large Meth Seizure in South Thailand

Phuket –

A woman was arrested in Phuket for reportedly being involved with the illegal possession of four kilograms of crystal methamphetamine and 400,000 methamphetamine pills in Nakhon Si Thammarat.

Police have arrested a woman they only identified as Ms. Jaruwan near a convenience store in Talad Yai, Mueang Phuket.

The arrest came after police in Nakhon Si Thammarat first arrested a man they identified only as Mr. Phonchai with four kilograms of crystal methamphetamine and 400,000 methamphetamine pills earlier this month following a tip-off.

Police investigating the large drug seizure later found out that Ms. Jaruwan is Mr. Phonchai’s girlfriend and was reportedly involved with the case.

Ms. Jaruwan was found hiding from authorities in Phuket and attempting to evade capture. She was taken back to the Tha Sala Police Station in Nakhon Si Thammarat to face numerous charges relating to the original drug seizure.
