Phuket –
No foreigners received red cards last month, according to the Phuket Immigration Office.
From April 1st to April 30th, 29 foreigners were arrested for offenses against Thai Immigration laws. However, Phuket Immigration did not provide further details.
None of the foreigners received yellow or red cards. Four Thais from 17 received yellow cards for not reporting when tourists checked into their accommodations.
A Red Card essentially means a tourist would be deported and blacklisted from Thailand for their actions and lawbreaking. A Yellow Card is an official warning that if the person in question offends again they either get deported and blacklisted or if a Thai national, a significant fine and possible jail time.
