Driver Injured, 43 Passengers Survive after Bus Crash in Krabi

Krabi –

A driver has sustained injuries and 43 passengers survived after a bus crashed into a power pole in Klong Tom district.

The Krabi Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) told the Phuket Express that on Monday (May 1st) they were notified that a bus had crashed into a power pole on Petch Kasem Road in the South Klong Tom district.

Witnesses at the scene said that a pickup truck cut in front of the bus. The bus driver avoided the collision before crashing into the power pole.

The bus was travelling from Satun to Phuket. There were 42 passengers, and the bus crew. The driver sustained medium injuries while 33 others sustained minor injuries. They were taken to nearby hospitals.

The names of those involved in the accident were not released by Thai police and it was unclear if any immediate legal charges would take place.
