Dead Dolphin Found on Beach on Pha Ngan Island

Pha Ngan Island, Surat Thani –

A dead dolphin has washed ashore at a beach on Pha Ngan Island.

The Head of the Tan Sadet – Koh Pha Ngan National Center Mr. Thikamphon Penchorm told the Phuket Express that they were notified of a dead dolphin earlier this week on Yao Beach.

They arrived on the beach to sadly find the dead dolphin. The Marine and Coastal Resources Research Center and The Central Gulf Centre of Thailand have been contacted.

The dead dolphin was temporarily buried on the beach while waiting for staffers from the centre to take the dead dolphin for an autopsy to find the cause of death. It was not immediately clear what the delay was.
