A woman was arrested in Phuket with five kilograms of crystal methamphetamine.
The Border Patrol Police told the Phuket Express on Thursday (April 27th) that they have arrested Ms. Kamonrat ‘Rose’ Poomyot, 40, from Maha Sarakham on Wichit Songkram Road in Kathu while she was delivering crystal methamphetamine to a smaller dealer who was not identified.
Police later found about five kilograms of crystal methamphetamine at her room in Soi Mae Im in Kathu.
Rose admitted to police that a larger dealer sent the drug to her via parcel. She received 1,000 baht per gram after delivering the drugs to customers but she claimed that she did not know the larger dealer by name or where they actually were.
She also claimed this was only the second time she had sold drugs but police were skeptical about this statement.
Rose remained in custody as of press time facing drug-related charges.
