Donsak, Surat Thani –
Oil cleaning has continued after oil stains were found in other areas in Donsak after a Samui Ferry was partially submerged.
Our previous stories:
A ferry was partially submerged and damaged after being hit by waves at a pier near Samui Island.
Now, for our update:
The Surat Thani Public Relations Office told the Phuket Express that the ferry company has been informed to report updates on the cleaning process to the Thailand Natural and Environment Resources Office in one month.
The ferry company has sent staffers to clean oil on many beaches which are Nangkam Beach, Laem Pratab, Klong Tam, and Talet Bay. They said the oil cleaning can be controlled into smaller areas. The company has also discussed with locals advice to restore local tourism in the future.
